The New Forest is a lovely place to visit at all times of the year, not just in the height of summer. A good place to start is the New Forest museum and Visitor Centre, which is located just behind Clarendon Villa.

Shopping There is a wealth of shops on Lyndhurst High street to keep the most ardent shopper happy for hours. Antiques, collectables of all kinds, venison, teapots, teddy bears, crystals, camping equipment and furniture can all be found liberally interspersed with places of refreshment of both the liquid and other kind.
